August 15- 18, 2013 - Gatlinburg’s 2nd annual Smoky Mountains Songwriters festival. This event will be showcasing some of Nashville biggest songwriters as well as local talents too. NASI, ASCAP,BMI and SESAC have been more than supportive with providing songwriters for the event some of the writers include:

Clay Mills: Writer of Trisha Yearwoods "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of love" Diamond Rio's " Beautiful Mess. Darius Ruker's " History in the making
Marty Dodson: Writer of Rascall flatts "While tou Loved me", Kenny Chesney's , "Everybody wants to go to Heaven" , and Billy Currington's " Let me down Easy."
Bobby Tomberlin: Writer of Diamond Rio's "One more day", And Darryl Worley's " Agood day to run".
The founder of Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival , Cindy Montgomery Reeves hopes to grow this event from a 3 day event taking place in August 23,24 and 25 2012 to a 10 day event with Work shops and competitions over the next 5 years.
